L.A.S.E.R. C.U.L.T Safety

The laser laboratory is a potentially hazardous place. Safety rests on everyone who is using the laboratory and you are expected to be responsible for your own safety as well as the safety of any other person in the course.  If you observe unsafe conditions or behavior, please report it immediately to the instructor.

To ensure all students are aware of safety issues all students must turn in a signed copy of the lab safety rules before any person on a team will be allowed access to the lab.  Infractions of these rules can have severe penalties including immediate expulsion from the course with a grade of “F”.  All decisions of instructor are final.

Please note that there are one or more cameras which continually monitor the laboratory.  These are present to provide a record if any individual were to become paralyzed, blinded, killed, or otherwise seriously injured.  Please do not move or block the cameras.
